George Smith Patton was a general in the United States Army best known for his command of the Third United States Army, during World War II. After leading the Invasion of Normandy in 1944, he led the relief of beleaguered U.S. troops at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge. His grave can be seen in the American Military Cemetery in Luxembourg City.
