
The Hospices de Beaune in the City of Beaune in the Burgundy Region in France
The Hospices de Beaune or Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune is a former charitable almshouse in Beaune, the capital of Burgundy Wines, in the eastern part of France. The Hospices de Beaune was founded in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin, the chancellor of the Burgundy region, as a hospital for the poor.
